Dentists

Dr. Harold Punnett

Dr. Harold Punnett graduated from UBC Dentistry in 1984 and met his wife Liz during his training. Liz’s father, Dr. George Neilson, was the founder of the Fort Langley Medical Office in Fort Langley, and both Dr. Punnett and Liz also knew they wanted to live in Fort Langley. In 1984, they moved to the Fort and joined Dr. Richardson in the practice of dentistry. As part of Dr. Punnett’s commitment to continuing education, he has been a member of a Vancouver Crown and Bridge Study Club for the past 20 years.

He offers preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry to his patients in a gentle caring setting. He is pleased to have his daughter Megan joining the practice as a Certified Dental Assistant. His oldest daughter Jenny graduated from UBC dentistry in 2016 and joined FLDO in 2020.

Dr. Erin Tack

Dr. Erin Tack has been a member of the Fort Langley Dental Office team since 2001. Dr. Tack, along with her husband, are busy parents of two young children. They enjoy volunteering with their numerous family activities, and participate in many community events. Recently, they took part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer to raise money and awareness for cancer.

Dr. Tack graduated from UBC Dental School in 1999, earning three top Dental awards. She also has a degree in Human Kinetics and was the top graduate of that faculty. As a member of the Canadian National Triathlon Team she competed in the 1990 World Championships, and was also a member of the UBC Varsity Swim Team.

In order to keep up with the ever-changing demands (evolution) of the practice of dentistry, Dr. Tack attends numerous continuing education sessions throughout the year. This allows her to provide a wide variety of services to her patients in addition to their basic dental health needs. Dr. Tack’s practice focuses on family care that extends to all ages and ranges of care. Her gentle and caring manner, and extensive knowledge of dentistry, are evident and she is always welcoming new patients to join her practice.

Dr. Sam Sedaghat

Dr. Sam Sedaghat has been a member of the Fort Langley Dental Office team since 2010. He is a University of British Columbia alumni with degrees in Computer Science and Commerce prior to completing his Doctor of Dentistry. He has devoted many hours volunteering at both local and international under-served communities. In 2008 he traveled to remote areas of Vietnam on a medical and dental mission, treating locals without access to adequate oral care.

Dr. Sedaghat continues his lifelong learning of oral health concepts by attending regular seminars and through his membership in the Willowbrook Spear Study Club.

With his calm and relaxed demeanor and his friendly attitude with children, he has managed to convert many anxious patients with life-long dental anxiety into regular visitors to his practice, and welcomes new patients and families on a regular basis.

Sam is a proud father of two young children and loves travelling, music, and technology. Do not start a conversation with him about any of these if you want your appointment to finish on-time! If you're looking for a new family dentist, make an appointment with Dr. Sedaghat today!

Dr. Jenny Punnett

Dr. Jenny Punnett had a lot of exposure to the dental setting at a young age when she would stop in to visit her dad at work at the Fort Langley Dental Office.  She always enjoyed her dental visits growing up and hopes she can provide for others the same positive experience she has always associated with dentistry.  She strives to do everything she can to make patients feel at ease through her gentle and kind demeanor and enjoys spending time explaining procedures to make sure each patient can make an informed decision about their treatment.  She believes it is important to discuss preventive treatment options to try and help patients address not only current concerns but also what can be done to decrease the risk of future problems.  Her primary goal is to treat every patient she sees as though they are a close family member or friend.  She values the opportunity that general dentistry provides to have multigenerational families as patients and to see these patients over many years to build long term trusting relationships.

Dr. Punnett graduated from UBC Dentistry in 2016 and moved to Calgary to begin her career as a practicing dentist.  She was a member of multiple study clubs in Calgary as well as the Calgary Dental Curling Club. She volunteered over 100 hours of her time to the Calgary Urban Project Society Free Extraction Clinic throughout her time in Calgary.  She and her husband recently decided to make the move back West and have settled down in Langley.  Dr. Punnett is thrilled to be back in her hometown and to be part of this community again.

Dr. Punnett always knew she wanted a career that would challenge her and provide opportunities for lifelong learning.  She doubts there will ever come a time where she feels there is nothing left to learn in dentistry – there are always advancements in materials and techniques and so many interesting areas of specialization to pursue. Dr. Punnett continues to strive for excellence in what she does by attending numerous continuing education courses, including participation in the Willowbrook Spear Study Club and attending courses at the Kois Centre.

On her days off she loves to be out exploring new trails on her mountain bike with her husband.  She also enjoys reading, playing the piano and spending time with her family and friends.

When she asked her husband what she should write for her website bio he replied “that you are a big dental nerd and love talking about teeth with anyone who will listen!”

Dr. Allizon Clark

Dr. Clark graduated from UBC Dentistry, having previously completed her Bachelor of Science.  She is extremely excited to be a part of the Fort Langley Dental Office team and is looking forward to caring for people in the community and hopes she can provide her patients with a stress-free experience at the dental office. Dr. Clark prioritizes patient comfort and strives to provide the best dental care possible.

Dr. Clark continues to expand her dental knowledge by participating in continuing education courses. Her interests are in oral surgery (extractions), endodontics (root canals), and various restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, etc.).

In her free time, Dr. Clark enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and loved ones, playing board games, watching movies, and making various crafts. She also loves food, so if you know of a secret gem out there, especially bakeries, please let her know. She also hopes to eventually get involved in musical theatre again.

Dr. Mike Zhou

Dr. Zhou received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry in 2010, graduating with honors and distinction. Prior to dentistry, he completed his undergraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, also at UBC, and worked as a pharmacist for several years. Since 2012, Dr. Zhou has also been a part time faculty member at the UBC Dental School.

When it comes to dentistry, Dr. Zhou has a strong passion for his profession. He takes pride in being a gentle dentist and for providing high-quality long-lasting treatments to his patients. At FLDO, his focus is on more advanced procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, gum grafting, and dental implants.

Dr. Zhou is a proud father of a baby boy and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid artist and photographer. Ever since he was young, he has enjoyed drawing and painting, and for the last 10 years he has been passionate about photography. While his main subjects are nature and dental photography, his baby boy and family have taken the center stage of his photo shoots!
