Pandemic update: Reopening Planned for June 1st

We are pleased to announce that the Fort Langley Dental Office will reopen for your service on June 1st 2020.

Although we have been unable to provide you with our regular dental care in the last couple of months, we have been working hard to respond to your emergency calls through phone consultations. On May 3rd, the BC Government and Provincial Health Officer approved the next phase of pandemic reopening which includes dental services.

The Fort Langley Dental Office team has been busy establishing a reopening plan guided by the recommendations from the BC Provincial Health Officer and College of Dental Surgeons of BC. While infection control has always been a top priority of our practice, we are implementing further controls to ensure a safe and secure environment for our patients and staff.

Following are some guidelines to help our safe transition back to practice:

1. Rebooking of missed appointments:
We are currently prioritizing appointments to deal with emergent and urgent care. We will follow this phase with missed and scheduled appointments. Please call the office if you have any immediate concerns or questions.

2. Before your appointment:
Our office will be contacting you to ask some screening questions prior to confirming your appointment.

If you feel unwell leading up to your confirmed appointment, we ask that you contact us immediately to reschedule. Please when possible give us 48 hours notice so that we can help accommodate other patients needing an appointment.

3. Arriving at the facility:
If possible, please wait in your vehicle until reception calls you in for your appointment. Otherwise, please do not enter the building more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. The prescreening questionnaire will be asked again at check in.

A hand sanitizing station is available and encouraged to use upon entrance to the building.

As a courtesy to others, please wear a face mask, bring your own pen and be aware and respect physical distancing from others.

Attend appointments alone when possible.

Washrooms access will be limited so please plan appropriately.

4. During the appointment:
A FLDO team member will greet you at the clinical area, take and record your temperature and then escort you to the sanitized treatment room.

5. After your appointment:
After use of the hand sanitizing station in the room, the FLDO team member will escort you to the reception area for a brief check out. Reminder that any outstanding balances are best paid by debit or credit card if possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we focus on taking the appropriate steps to ensure a safe reopening for our community. Your oral health continues to be our priority and we appreciate your confidence in our team to take care of it during this challenging time and into the future.

Sincerely, Fort Langley Dental Team
